Dermot Carmody & Morgan C Jones have been comedy associates since late in the last century. In 1999 – 2000 they collaborated on the 2irish.com web site (long defunct don’t go looking for it). The site was a satire on Irishness and Irishry and spawned a daily radio topical satirical new update “2irish.com Shortwave Audio News”. 60 episodes were aired on Lite FM radio in Dublin.

A couple of years ago Carmody tricked Jones into going back onstage for the musical comedy cabaret At Last The 1989 Show, which mutated and expanded to form a basis for The Emergency, an award-winning topical satirical sketch show broadcast in 2009 on Newstalk radio. Carmody & Jones continue to work with The Emergency team, doing live shows and posting regularly on The Emergency’s web site.

Carmody & Jones are a fine musical comedy double act in their own right. They have just released a 4-track EP (available on iTunes and Napster) and are currently performing live whenever possible.
