Carmody & Jones Present “At Last The 1989 Show” at “The Comedy Box” Wednesday December 1st

Friday, November 26th, 2010

Carmdy & Jones will perform their full-length show “At Last The 1989 Show” on Wednesday December 1st at “The Comedy Box”, upstairs in Sheehan’s, Chatham St, Dublin 2.

The show will closely resemble a musical comedy double act on top form as the duo play a selection of lovingly crafted (and in three cases rehearsed) masterpieces of fun, harmony and mild despair.

Guaranteed for inclusion in the show are the tracks form their current EP “The Morale Will Continue Until The Beatings Improve”. These include the current single “Not Doing Any Time”, which is available as a free download from The Emergency site.

Also featured will be such timeless classics as “Gold Digging Uniped” (the song Paul McCartney can’t include on his latest album for legal reasons), “Beaver” (dealing with all-too-familiar challenge facing every young man the first time his father gives him a North American mammal) and a rare gem from George Formby’s ‘Summer Of Love’ (Cleethorpes, 1952): “When I’m Doing Acid”.

The show starts at 9pm on Wednesday December 1st upstairs at Sheehan’s in The Comedy Box. (Adm €8/6).
